Notice of Election Day for State Primary and County General Election August 4, 2016

NOTICE OF STATE PRIMARY ELECTION AND COUNTY GENERAL ELECTION

Benton County will be holding a State Primary Election for the Republican and Democratic Parties and a County General Election in all voting precincts on Thursday, August 4, 2016. Polls will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  A photo ID must be presented before voting. All voting locations are accessible to the disabled.

Voting precincts are as follows:

1st DISTRICT – HOLLADAY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
148 Stokes Road, Holladay

2ND DISTRICT – CAMDEN JR. HIGH SCHOOL
75 Schools Drive, Camden

3RD DISTRICT – CAMDEN CITY HALL
110 Highway 641 S, Camden

4th DISTRICT – CAMDEN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
208 Washington Avenue, Camden

5th DISTRICT – CAMDEN PUBLIC LIBRARY LOWER LEVEL
124 S. Church Avenue, Camden

6th DISTRICT – BIG SANDY SCHOOL

 VOTERS MAY CHOOSE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING BALLOTS:

  • REPUBLICAN PRIMARY BALLOT WITH GENERAL BALLOT
  • DEMOCRATIC PRIMARY BALLOT WITH GENERAL BALLOT
  • GENERAL BALLOT

This is a Primary Election for the political parties to choose their candidates to represent them in the General Election.  To vote in the Primary, you must choose which Party’s ballot that you want to vote for. You may only vote on one ballot.

Elderly or handicapped voters assigned to vote in precincts wherein the polling place is not accessible may vote at the election commission office on Election Day. Such voter shall complete an affidavit at the election commission office stating that such voter’s assigned voting location, to the best of the voter’s knowledge, does not comply with the provisions of Public Law 98-435 of the 98th Congress. The affidavit must be received by the county election commission not less than ten (10) days prior to Election Day. AFFIDAVIT must be received by July 25, 2016. As an alternative, an elderly or handicapped voter assigned to vote in a precinct where the polling place is inaccessible MAY VOTE during the EARLY VOTING PERIOD.
